To provide a method exerting excellent controlling effect in control of pests.SOLUTION: The controlling method of pests of the present invention includes a process of subjecting at least one insecticide or bactericide selected from the group consisting of clothianidin, nitenpyram, oxazosulfyl, cartap hydrochloride, spinetoram, pyridalyl, fenitrothion, esfenvalerate, fenpropathrin, permethrin, dipermethrin, pyriproxyfen, etoxazole, diniconazole M, oxolinic acid, diclocymet, furametpyr, validamycin, ferimzone, fthalide, isotianil, benomyl, diethofencarb, procymidone, triclofos-methyl, fenpyrazamine, mandestrobin, pyridachlomethyl, inpyrfluxam, and metyltetraprole to spot treatment in a plantation of agricultural crops or horticultural crops.SELECTED DRAWING: None
