Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abrupt operation of a sliding door in braking a vehicle body.
SOLUTION: In this controlling method of a power sliding device 10, a vehicle sliding door, which is slidably mounted to a vehicle body 13 and held in a door opening position set over a predetermined width in the door closing direction from the door opening end position by run-over resistance of a run-over holding type door holder 73 when it is slid to the door opening end position, is slid in the door opening direction and the door closing direction by the power of a motor 14. When the sliding door 11 is slid to be closed from the door opening position by external force in the door closing direction and runs over the door holder 73, the sliding door 11 is closed by the motor 14 after it is braked if a foot brake sensor 78 or a side brake sensor 79 is turned on and a vehicle speed shown by a vehicle speed sensor 77 is above a prescribed speed.
