Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately measure a temperature-corrected secondary time constant in a short period of time by supplying a constant current of the same phase as that at the time of next operation to the exciting side of an induction motor in a state that an elevator is mechanically stopped, and measuring the time constant.

CONSTITUTION: The shaft of a motor is secured by a mechanical braking at the time of stop of an elevator, and a constant current i1' of the same phase as that at the time of start of an operation is supplied for a predetermined period of time. This time is determined according to the time constant of the motor. A next operation is started after a predetermined time is elapsed, a voltage v1(t) when a constant current i1 is supplied is measured, and a secondary time constant is calculated. Then the calculated constant is used for calculating a vector control to remove influence of a temperature.
