Abstract:

To easily and quickly monitor a state of operation of a tunnel boring machine even from a remote place.

An operator on a construction site collects the data on the operation of the tunnel boring machine 10 by a data collecting personal computer 51 and transmits the collected data to a WWW server 54 by a telephone circuit through the Internet. On the WWW server 54 side, an operational state screen and a trend screen based on the data on the operation of the tunnel boring machine 10 are displayed in a homepage, while a person in charge of the control makes connection with the WWW server 54 by using data monitoring personal computers 55 and 56 and monitors the construction of a tunnel on the basis of the operational state screen and the trend screen displayed in the homepage.
