Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling unit of a clutch capable of precisely compensating wear of a clutch facing.
SOLUTION: In the controlling unit of the clutch used for vehicles, an adjusting mechanism provides an upper rack 84 having a controlling portion 84c rotatably arranged in a relative state, an urging member 87 urging the upper rack 84 to a direction in which engagement between the upper rack 84 and a lower rack 85 is released, a stopper portion 24b controlling an axial movement of a pressure plate 24, and a retaining member 86 retaining an adjusting wedge member 82 in a diaphragm spring 25. When a predetermined condition is not formed, a controlling means advances and retreats the pressure plate in an engaging state among a pinion tooth and first rack tooth, and a second rack tooth and lower rack tooth, respectively. When the predetermined condition is formed, an axial distance between the diaphragm spring and pressure plate is changed by shifting tooth faces of the first rack tooth.
