To provide an attachable detachable bookmark string which does not occupy much space to be easy to carry without the risk of damaging a book or for a bookmark to drop, and enables inexpensive utilization of what is convenient about the bookmark string, by simply attaching the bookmark string to a book, a notebook or the like which has no bookmark string.

The convenient bookmark string consists of a body 3 which has a linear part to be the back cover side when held between pages of the book 1, and a string having one end attached to an upper end (a) of the linear part of the body 3. The body 3 has the frictional force of the book 1 or a weak adhesion.
