Abstract:
To improve cooling of a driven flap of a CD nozzle, when cooling air is not supplied to driven divergent flap itself.
A convergent-divergent nozzle 1 for a turbo-jet comprises: the driven divergent flaps 4a; driven divergent flaps 4b interposed between the driven flaps; and means 32 supplying the cooling air to the driven flaps 4b. Each of the driven flaps 4b has box structure, and has side openings for supplying cooling air to an inner face of the driven flap 4a. Therefore, the convergent-divergent nozzle 1 for a turbo-jet limits temperature rise of these flaps during operation of the turbo-jet. The nozzle is used for a turbo jet of a military aircraft.
