Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC/AC conversion device having an inter-line voltage level equal to or higher than a conventional AC/AC converter with switching elements as many as or less than the conventional AC/AC converter.SOLUTION: Input reactors 11R, 11S and 11T of three phases are connected between a three-phase AC power source and input terminals R, S and T of three phases. Between the input terminals R, S and T and output terminals U, V and W of three phases, a plurality of single-phase inverters 20 are cascaded for each of phases. Terminals U", V" and W" of phases of a three-phase inverter 30 are connected to a common connection point between any two single-phase inverters neighboring to each other (a common connection point between terminals R' and U') at a first phase side, a common connection point between any two single-phase inverters neighboring to each other (a common connection point between terminals S' and V') at a second phase side and a common connection point between any two single-phase inverters neighboring to each other (a common connection point between terminals T' and W') at a third phase side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
