Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an olefinic unsaturated substance and an intermediate fraction in a high ratio by bringing a hydrocarbon feedstock subjected to hydrogenating (pyrolyzing) treatment into contact with a zeolite catalyst under a specific condition to convert the same.

CONSTITUTION: A hydrocarbon feedstock (e.g; light deasphalted oil from Arabia) subjected to hydrogenating (pyrolyzing) treatment is brought into contact with a zeolite catalyst composed of zeolite with a pore size of 0.4-0.7 nm pref. at 480-900°C under pressure of 10 bar or less for below 10 sec, pref., 1-6 sec.
