Abstract:
To speed up pipeline type and cyclic type AD converters.
A first amplifier circuit 11 amplifies an input signal by α times. A first AD conversion circuit 12 has an LSB voltage as VA, and converts an inputted analog signal into a digital signal of arbitrary N1 bits. A first DA conversion circuit 13 converts a digital value outputted from the circuit 12 into an analog signal. A subtracting circuit 14 subtracts an output of the circuit 13 from an output of the circuit 11. A second amplifier circuit 15 amplifies an output of the circuit 14 by β times. A second AD conversion circuit 16 has an LSB voltage as VA, and converts an inputted analog signal into a digital signal of arbitrary N2 bits. In this circuit, VA×α×β=VB×2N2 is established.
