Title:
CONVERSION METHOD OF LIGHT EMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07239491
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain information on absorption spectra of material by irradiating cadmium sulfide (CdS) with light to obtain bistable emitted light and allowing this emitted light to transmit a filter, thereby obtaining the different bistable emitted light.

CONSTITUTION: A film 1 consisting of the CdS is irradiated with exciting light 2 to generate the bistable fluorescence. For example, a substrate 3 consisting of GaAs is irradiated with this light and the light transmitted through this substrate is measured by a photodiode. The bistability corresponding to the spectra at the absorption end appears when the bistability is measured by changing the intensity of the exciting light 2. The irradiation of only the narrow range is possible if the light is converged by using a lens 4. The information to be obtd. includes a change of components by each place and a distribution of temp. Measurement of currents is possible as well if the temp. change by the Joule heat generated by passing the currents is monitored. The way of development of the bistability is varied by changing the absorption end of the GaAs by the temp. or currents. The impartation of the information thereto is thus possible.
