Title:
CONVERSION WITH PERMANENT MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0591592
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sound reproduction system which shows flat frequency response characteristics in an operating frequency range and operates with extremely high efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A transducer which contains a core 11 formed of a magnetic material with low magnetic resistance and has a narrow gap 14 is provided. Coils 12 and 13 formed of 1st and 2nd conductive materials are wound around cores 11A and 11B nearby adjacent opposite surfaces of the gap 14. The permanent magnets 15 and 16 filling the gap 14 substantially are not in contact with the core 11 and supported so as to move. The core 11 is generally in a U, C or 8 shape, the permanent magnets 15 and 16 have relative motion path with the core 11, and this motion path generally crosses the core surface at right angles. The core 11 is not present in the motion plane of the permanent magnets. The permanent magnets 15 and 16 are provided with different magnetic poles adjacently and their border line is positioned at the substantially center part in the space between the opposite surfaces of the core along the direction of relative motion.
