To provide a multi-bit D/A converter of a high resolution and high accuracy to be operated at a high speed by combining a plurality of high-speed and inexpensive D/A converters of fewer bits.
The D/A converter comprises: a bit selector for outputting and distributing the digital data of N bits to the first channel of (Na+Nc) bits from the MSB side and the second channel of (Nc+Nb) bits from the LSB side similarly; a first D/A converter connected to the first channel; a second D/A converter connected to the second channel; an amplifier for amplifying the output of the first D/A converter; an adder for adding the output of the amplifier and the output of the second D/A converter; a difference device for subtracting the output of the second D/A converter from the output of the amplifier; a D/A conversion correction means for changing the full scale output value of the second D/A converter corresponding to the output of the difference device; and an analog conversion means for outputting the added result of the adder.
