Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3268217
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter of a pitcher's mound which achieves a curtailing of cost and excellence in saving space with a relatively simple working mechanism in a type which is installed in a field of a stadium allowing holding of baseball and other events.
SOLUTION: This counter is constituted of a pit which has a polygonal or circular opening provided at the position of a pitcher's mound, a solidly deformable lid 20 with the shape of the outer circumference thereof almost matching that of the opening of the pit and a lifting means 30 which is disposed in the pit and drives the lid 20 from below to be deformed to a pitcher's mound formation position and a position matching the surface of the field. The solidly deformable lid is built by combining a polygonal or circular central plate 21 and a plurality of roughly trapezoidal section plates 23 arranged at a peripheral part thereof. The lift means 30 comprises a vertically moving means 31 which is erected within the pit and linked on the underside of the central plate 21 to vertically move it and a support means 33 which is fitted within the pit to support the section plates from below.
