Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the transmission loss, to reduce the cost and to facilitate the assembly by selecting a length of projection of an input pin to be a length suitable for forming a probe antenna and forming a cutting groove on the pin.
CONSTITUTION: A high frequency signal conversion circuit (LNB) 12 is fixed to one side of a base 11 of a microwave reception converter 10 and an input pin 13 to the LNB 12 is projected to the other side through the base 11. A Teflon is employed for an insulation material 14. The projection length L of the input pin 13 is selected sufficient to form a probe antenna (nearly 5mm) and a cutting-groove 16 is formed at a position slightly toward tip from the plane patch antenna. The groove 16 may be provided on both sides of the pin 13 or may be provided on only one side and or may be formed in a ring in the circumferential direction of the pin 13. Thus, the patch antenna and the LNB 12 are coupled directly easily by the pin 13, the transmission loss is small and number of components is decreased.
