Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for measuring a converter refractory profile for reducing the suspending of the cycling time of the refining by the converter without requiring to provide a reference point on the converter.SOLUTION: A converter refractory profile measurement device 1 includes: a frame 2 fixed to a building construct 22 at a side (a converter rear side 32) on which a converter throat is tilted upon tapping from the converter; a shape measurement device (profile meter 8) for measuring a distance up to an imaging object within a two-dimensional imaging range; and a mobile device 3 which is the mobile device 3 connected to the frame 2 and moving the profile meter 8 between a forward position 33 and a retracted position 34. The forward position 33 is a position capable of observing a portion or the whole of the refractory profile inner side surface 17 within the converter furnace through a throat 12 by the profile meter 8 when the throat 12 of the converter furnace 11 is tilted to a converter rear side 32, and the forward position 33 is a position at which the distance between the profile meter 8 and the throat 12 is moved forward rather than the retracted position 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
