Title:
DC/DC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011055612
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To obtain a DC/DC converter that is operated even if an intermediate capacitor is opened to fail, sends energy equivalent to that when the DC/DC converter is normal even in the case of short-circuit failure, and can step up and down voltage.
In the step-down operation, a change to a pattern for mutually and simultaneously turning on/off first and second switching elements S1, S2 is made when the open-circuit failure of the intermediate capacitor C1 is detected, and a change to a pattern for continuously keeping the second switching element S2 on and turning on/off the first switching element S1 is made when the short-circuit failure of the intermediate capacitor C1 is detected.
