Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a converter which uniforms the temperature distribution of a mixed gas when reaching a catalyst by arranging a baffle in the passage producing the mixed gas.SOLUTION: A converter which produces a mixed gas by mixing at least two reactant gases of different temperatures together and converts the mixed gas by using a catalyst includes a first gas carrying part for carrying a first gas, a second gas carrying part for carrying a second gas and a gas confluent part which mixes the first and second gases together to produce the mixed gas in the downstream of the first and second gas carrying parts. The gas confluent part is provided with a baffle within it, and the baffle adds turbulence to the flow of the mixed gas produced.
