Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a low capacity high frequency filter unit constituted of a reduced number of components by providing a parallel impedance circuit equipped with a switch for varying the internal impedance in the high frequency filter unit and performing ON/OFF control of the switch according to a control angle command for a voltage type self-excited inverter.
CONSTITUTION: A parallel switch 10 and a reactor 11 are additionally connected in parallel with the reactor branch 9 of a single harmonic filter 6a. A controller 12 delivers an ON/OFF command to the switch 11 depending on the control angle range of a voltage type self-excited inverter 2. Higher harmonic voltage to be generated from the inverter 2 varies according to the control angle of the inverter 2, and the order and magnitude of higher harmonic to be suppressed are determined for the control angle under some operating state. In other words, the controller 12 performs ON/OFF control of the switch 11 to vary the resonant order of higher harmonic filter according to the order of higher harmonic to be suppressed thus feeding DC power, close to AC power of a power system 4, from a DC power supply 1.
