Title:
MUSE/NTSC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06327035
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To decrease the number of circuit parts, to reduce a circuit scale, to attain cost reduction, and to realize high picture quality by reducing the flurring in the contour parts of an output picture.

CONSTITUTION: A vertical filter 5 converts the 1125 pieces of scanning lines of a MUSE system into the number of scanning lines in a prescribed mode of NTSC system. At the same time, an enhancer in a vertical direction is operated, and each processing of a sub-sample turn-back processing, and line sequential decode processing is operated. A time base conversion circuit 7 converts a data rate from the MUSE system to the NTSC system. In an NTSC system processing circuit 9, an extending circuit 10 extends a TCI-transmitted color difference signal into four-fold data, a point successive decoder 11 operates a point successive decode processing to a chrominance signal, and separates two color difference signals, an NTSC processing circuit 12 adds an NTSC system synchronizing signal or a blanking to a video signal.
