Title:
CONVERTING METHOD OF BINARY CODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6061958
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the width of a transmission band compared with the conventional modulating system and to facilitate easy reproduction of a clock in a group decoding system which converts a data word of 8 bits into a code word of 10 bits. CONSTITUTION:In a modulation mode, 8 bits of a data word are shifted and supplied successively to SR2 of 8 bits. When the input is through with the data word of 8 bits, an ROM3 outputs the code word data of 10 bits corresponding to each data pattern. This 10-bit data is once loaded to SR4 of 10 bits and then shifted every bit to obtain a serial output. The signal of this serial output is modulated by an NRZI modulating circuit 5 to obtain a modulated waveform. While in a reproduction mode, the modulated waveform is supplied to a clock reproducing circuit 11 to obtain a clock synchronizing with a modulated signal. Based on this clock, only the signal changing points are extracted by F/F12 and an Ex-OR circuit 13 to perform the NRZI modulation. This modulated data is supplied to SR14 every 10 bits.
