Abstract:
To polish a convex spherical surface of an end of a rod-like member by composite operation of rotation around a central axis of the rod-like member, continuous or intermittent transfer of a polishing tape, and pressure-contact of the polishing tape by a pressure-contact member to the convex spherical surface of the rod-like member, and improve polishing accuracy and surface roughness of the convex spherical surface.SOLUTION: A convex spherical surface polishing device includes: a member holding mechanism A for holding a rod-like member W; a member rotation mechanism B for rotating the rod-like member around a central axis; a tape transfer mechanism C for continuously or intermittently transferring a polishing tape T; and a tape pressure-contact mechanism D for bringing the polishing tape into pressure-contact with the convex spherical surface R of the rod-like member by a pressure-contact member D1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
