To develop a conveyance device in the lateral direction having a small external appearance and installable in an arbitrary position.
This conveyance device comprises a motor built-in roller (motor built-in cylinder) 2, a cam 3, a rotary shaft change mechanism 4, a drive-side pulley (drive-side rotating object) 5, a driven-side pulley (other end side member) 6, an endless belt 7, a support member 8, and a spring 9. The motor built-in roller 2 and the rotary shaft change mechanism 4 are provided in a space surrounded with the endless belt 7 and the central shaft 15 of the motor built-in roller 2 is engaged with the drive-side pulley 5 via the rotary shaft change mechanism 4. The warped top surface 25 of the support member 8 is positioned between the motor built-in roller 2 and the rear surface of the endless belt 7. When the cylindrical body 12 of the motor built-in roller 2 is rotated, the cam 3 turns to push up the support member 8 and move upward the traveling surface of the endless belt 7.
