To realize emergency stop in a conveyor facility in which chains must be loosened beforehand to avoid the risk of breakage of the chains.
This conveyor facility comprises a pair of left and right sprockets 38, 39 rotatably fitted to the upstream side end and the downstream side end of a body frame in the conveying direction, a pair of left and right endless chains 40 stretched between the pair of left and right upstream end sprocket 38 and the downstream end sprocket 39 with a looseness provided to the passages thereof returning from the sprocket 39, and article support bodies supporting articles installed between the left and right endless chains 40. The upstream end sprocket 38 and the downstream end sprocket 39 comprise motors 35A, 35B for driving these sprockets, respectively. The tensions of the endless chains 40 on the forward passage side are controllably set constant by driving these motors 35A, 35B independently of each other.
