To provide a conveyance protective member capable of simplifying a structure for lifting an object for conveyance while capable of safely conveying the object without any damage thereto.

The protective member 3 prevents any damage of an object for conveyance during the conveyance thereof. The protective member 3 is a plate having the height smaller than the length or the width, and has an opening part 6 for a device which is a through-hole for insertion in a columnar part 1 of the object at a center portion of the protective member 3, and an opening part 7 for a rope which is a through-hole for passing a lifting rope 5 or the like on the outer side of the opening part 6 for the device. The protective member 3 for conveyance is inserted in the columnar part 1 of the object at the position higher than that of the center of gravity of the object, and the lifting rope 5 connected to a lifting piece 4 provided on a lower part of the object lifts the object in a passed state through the opening part 7 for the rope in the protective member.
