To sweep away concern over generation of a strain in a metal ring and to restrain heat quantity taken away from the metal ring when applying heat treatment to the metal ring.
Each of retaining shafts 14a-14i includes: projecting parts 30 for placing which face the metal rings R1, R2; and projecting parts 32 for stemming which is interposed between adjoined projecting parts 30, 30. The projecting parts 32 for stemming pressurize the metal rings R1, R2 inward in the diameter direction thereof. Thereby the metal rings R1, R2 are pressurized and retained by the projecting part 32 for stemming in a state in which extension strength is generated in the rings. The projecting part 30 for placing abuts on the lower end surfaces of the metal rings R1, R2, and consequently the metal rings R1, R2 are prevented from dropping vertically downwards.
