To provide a conveyed object sorting device driven by a linear synchronous motor having little fluctuation of thrust even if the pitch between conveying trucks changes.
The conveyed object sorting device driven by the permanent magnet type linear synchronous motor comprises travel rails laid along a predetermined travel path, and a plurality of conveying trucks moving along the travel rails, wherein the adjacent conveying trucks are connected in an endless circulating state by a connecting rod. Secondary side magnet plates with N-poles and S-poles alternately arranged are disposed at every other conveying trucks of the plurality of connected conveying trucks, and primary side coils are installed along the travel rails so as to face the secondary side magnet plates. The primary side coil has such a length as not to face two secondary side magnet plates at the same time, and the primary side coils are constituted to individually generate the magnetic field in accordance with the intrusion timing of the secondary side magnet plates.
