To reduce the height of a conveyer for conveying an article to be conveyed as well as the height of a coating booth and to prevent coating to be accumulated on a rail on which a conveying cart travels in the coating booth.

This conveyer 11 for conveying an article to be coated comprises a pair of an upper and a lower rails 12a and 12b, a conveying cart 13, and a conveyer chain 14 for side-driving for having the conveying cart 13 travel, and the conveying cart travels on the upper rail 12a. The conveyer chain 14 goes around a coating line along the side of the upper and the lower rails 12a and 12b. The conveying cart 13 is press-fed by an engagement plate 14a provided on the conveyer chain 14 being engaged from the side. As the conveyer chain is provided on the side of the upper and the lower rails, the height of the conveyer for conveying an article to be coated can be reduced.
