PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform horizontal and vertical conveyance in both normal and reverse directions with the use of a simple device, by arranging a vertical conveyer path in the vicinity of one end part of the horizontal conveyer path of an endless belt, and by providing carrier boxes which are attracted by permanent magnets arranged on the belt at predetermined intervals.
CONSTITUTION: When a client delivers cash onto a teller desk upon payment, a teller clerk in charge sets the cash in a carrier box 1 through a cash introduction and delivery port 18b. Then, the carrier box 1 is conveyed in the order of 1C, 1B an 1A, and is therefore, directed to a teller section 17 so that the cash is stored in a teller section safe. Then, upon payment a bank clerk feeds out cash from the teller section safe under an instruction from a control section in accordance with manipulation of an on-line-teller's machine 19a or the like, and therefore, a carrier box 1 storing therein the cash is conveyed to a designated cash introduction and delivery port 18b in the order of 1A, 1B, 1C. Thus, during horizontal conveyance the cash box may be stably conveyed due to the dead weight and attracting force of the carrier box, and during vertical conveyance it is possible to use a simple device and to prevent the occupied space of the arrangement from increasing.
