PURPOSE: To omit manual aligning operation and to increase the amount of conveyance by using an aligning conveyor during the conveyance of the glass tubes from a tube extractor to a machining apparatus, and aligning the tubes in parallel one by one.
CONSTITUTION: The conveying apparatus comprises a supply conveyer C consisting of two belts 10 and the aligning conveyer D wherein a plurality of narrow and long grooves, which have a plurality of separating plates 33 and receive the glass tubes, are formed. At the receiving path of the aligning conveyer D which receives the glass tube G from the supply conveyer C, an adjusting mechanism 40 is provided in order to equalize the outer diameter of the glass tube C and the height of the separating plate 33. When two or more glass tubes G enter the groove constituted by the separating plate 33, an ejecting tool 50 ejects the extra tubes so that one tube is remained. Furthermore, an intermediate conveyer E, which transfers the glass tubes G from the aligning conveyer D, and a conveyer F, which receives the glass tubes G aligned in parallel from said intermediate conveyer E and conveys them to the machining apparatus, are provided.
