Abstract:
To provide a conveying device, a detecting device and a recording device capable of accurately detecting a travel amount of a conveyor belt.SOLUTION: A conveying device comprises a conveyor belt 22 for conveying a medium and a detecting device 23 for detecting a travel amount of the conveyor belt. The detecting device has a scale 31, a reading part 32 for reading the scale, and a holding unit 33 moving integrally with the scale or the reading part. The holding unit has a holding part 41 for holding the conveyor belt and at least one suction part 42 for causing the holding part to suck the conveyor belt. The holding part comprises a first contact part 45 contacting the surface of the conveyor belt and a second contact part 46 contacting the back surface of the conveyor belt. The at least one suction part is disposed on at least one of the first contact part and the second contact part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
