Abstract:
To solve problems in a transport device for correcting position deviation due to skew of a medium to be transported, for example, in order to transport a sheet to a target position at a prescribed timing, deviation of the transport timing following to position deviation correction of skew has to be calculated and transport speed has to be adjusted based on the calculation result.SOLUTION: A transport device comprises: position detection means 101-103 for detecting a position of a medium P to be transported; position change means 31 for rotating the medium P to be transported in a transport plane for the medium to be transported, based on a detection result of the position detection means 101-103, while holding the medium P to be transported in transport, for changing a position of the medium P to be transported; and a first detection sensor 200 for detecting a tip of the medium P to be transported, the first detection sensor 200 rotating in an integrated state with the position change means 31 in a transport plane for the medium to be transported.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
