To provide a conveying device capable of enhancing the workability of the changing work between a first moving condition in which the conveying device can be moved by an air bearing, and a second moving condition in which the conveying device can be moved by wheels, and enhancing the workability of the moving work of the conveying device.
The conveying device 1 comprises wheel holding mechanisms 8, 9 capable of holding a plurality of wheels 7 at a lowered position, and an air bearing 10 capable of forming an air film between an opposing floor surface FL and itself by jetting air. The air bearing 10 is equipped on lower surface sides of the conveying bases 2, 3. The conveying device is constituted so as to be changed to the first moving condition in which the conveying bases 2, 3 are movable by the air bearing 10 and the second moving condition in which a plurality of wheels 7 are held by the wheel holding mechanisms 8, 9 at a lowered position, and the conveying bases 2, 3 are movable by the plurality of wheels 7.
