A conveying device 1 includes a pair of end rollers 111, 112 provided in such a form that rotation axes face in substantially parallel with each other; a conveying belt 12 endlessly wound on the pair of end rollers 111, 112 to constitute an upper travel part and a lower travel part, and annularly traveling in a predetermined direction between the pair of end rollers 111, 112 to convey a workpiece W placed on the upper travel part; and intermediate rollers 114 provided between the pair of end rollers 111, 112 and inclining the upper travel part of the conveying belt 12 in a form of going down from the left side edge 12a of the conveying belt 12 toward the right side edge 12b. The conveying device is configured so that tension energized to the left side edge 12a of the conveying belt 12 is equal to tension energized to the right side edge 12b.
