CONVEYING EQUIPMENT OF CRUSHED ICE PIECE

PURPOSE: To remove waste ice mixing in or sticking to crushed ice pieces with high precision and thereby to improve the quality of these pieces by a mesh-like construction formed by providing a group of small holes of smaller opening dimensions than contour dimensions of the crushed ice pieces in the bottom part of a conveying passage.
CONSTITUTION: In conveying equipment 50 of crushed ice pieces, a group 56 of small holes having smaller opening dimensions than contour dimensions of the crushed ice pieces is provided in the bottom part of a conveying passage member 52 constituting a conveying passage 51. Accordingly, waste ice mixing in the crushed ice pieces drops/ down to be removed through the group 56 of the small holes in a process wherein the crushed ice pieces are conveyed through the conveying passage 51. The waste ice sticking on the outer peripheral parts of the crushed ice pieces is also removed efficiently by that the crushed ice pieces are rubbed with the bottom part of the conveying passage member 52 in the process wherein they are conveyed in a stirred state through the conveying passage 51, and it drops down through the group 56 of the small holes. In a manufacturing installation of a block ice pack, accordingly, the waste ice mixing in the crushed ice pieces is removed with the precision of a removal rate of 60 to 70% in contour selecting equipment and it can be removed further by the conveying equipment 50 of the crushed ice pieces.
