This conveying facility comprises a moving body 10 movable on a fixed line 8 being supported and guided by a rail device 3, and a moving force applying means 20 that can be engaged with and detached from a locked body 15 provided at the moving body 10. An endless rotating chain 25 of the moving force applying means 20 is provided with a stationary locking body 40 on which the locked body 15 can abut from behind, and a swing body 42 is mounted swingingly around the upstream side as a fulcrum 47. A movable locking body 43 capable of clamping the locked body between the stationary locking body 40 by projecting behind the locked body 15 is provided on the downstream side of the swing body 42. A prescribed part in the fixed line 8 is provided with an operating means 50 acting on the swing body 42 side to project the movable locking body 43 in the receding state. A maintaining means 30 acting on the swing body 42 side to maintain a clamping attitude is provided on the downstream side of the prescribed part 9, along the fixed line 8.
