Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation device that can rapidly detect occurrence of anomaly or a failure in a driving system with a chain without stopping normal operation to address the anomaly and failure before causing a damage to the chain.SOLUTION: The transportation device including a sprocket 8 driven to be turned by a driving motor 1 and a driving chain 5 meshing with the sprocket 8 in the driving system includes an operation part 16 obtaining an output shaft torque of the sprocket 8 on the basis of an output current to the driving motor 1 to estimate tensile force of the driving chain 5 from this output shaft torque and a pitch circle radius of the sprocket 8 with which the driving chain 5 meshes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
