To provide a conveying method for an article and an article conveying system capable of sufficiently making an article conveying time of an article conveying means and a required traveling time of an article conveying vehicle relevant to each other and enhancing conveying efficiency of the article.

The article conveying means 16, 24 set with article recognition positions 17, 25 and conveying completion positions 18, 26 are provided and the article conveying vehicles 32, 50 traveling between loading positions 14, 47 facing to the conveying completion positions 18, 26 and unloading positions 15, 48 are provided. When the article W is recognized at the article recognition positions, a required traveling time of the article conveying vehicles 32, 50 is determined and comparison of the article conveying time and the required traveling time is continuously performed. When the required traveling time becomes the article conveying time or more, the article conveying vehicles 32, 50 are traveled to the loading positions 14, 47 by giving traveling instruction to the loading positions 14, 47 relative to the article conveying vehicles 32, 50, the article W is loaded and the article W is unloaded at the unloading positions 15, 48.
