Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow a conveyor belt to be turned smoothly clockwise and counterclockwise in horizontal direction by disposing plastic belt modules in sash shape at positions perpendicular to a belt running direction to form lateral rows of an appropriate width and connecting the lateral rows through a lateral axis.
CONSTITUTION: Link projected parts 44 of a projected part group forming rows 22 are engaged through engaged grooves 62 with link projected parts 45 of a projected part group of an adjacent row 24, and their holes 40 and 42 are matched with each other. A flexible pivot shaft 60 is inserted into the matched holes, the pivot shaft acts as a hinged pin, the link projected parts engaged with each other are connected to each other, and also adjacent rows 24 and 26 and 26 and 28 are connected, in the same manner, to each other through the flexible pivot shaft 60. When the belt turns counterclockwise in a running direction 28, a play of the pivot shaft 60 fitted loosely to a long groove hole 42 is provided and a head part 56 of the link projected part is fitted loosely into an engaging groove 62 passed in arch by a waveform-shaped base part 48. By this structure, one ends of the rows are moved closely to each other and the others are departed from each other.
