Abstract:
To correct a positional displacement of a sheet with high accuracy with devices neither enlarged in size, nor raised in cost.SOLUTION: CISs 35 and 36 (detection means) for detecting a positional displacement in a width direction as well as a turning direction of a sheet P are placed at a position on an upstream side of a nip roller 31. Then, a position of the nip roller 31 is changed from a reference position by responding to the positional displacement of the sheet P detected by the CISs 35 and 36 before conveying the sheet P to the position of the nip roller 31, and the position of the nip roller 31 in a state of nipping the sheet P is subsequently changed to the reference position. Then, the position of the nip roller 31 is continuously changed from the reference position in such a manner that the positional displacement of the sheet P, which is continuously detected by the CISs 35 and 36, is subsequently corrected while nipping/conveying the sheet P with the nipping roller 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
