PURPOSE: To carry-in/out articles from a truck smoothly and speedily by forming a recessed part for accommodating a pusher at the front edge part of a conveyor and installing a pusher which is movable in the longitudinal direction in free elevation and lowering.

CONSTITUTION: At a truck station 17, a truck 18 is allowed to stop, with the rear side wall in an opened state, by setting the rear edge of the truck 18 in an opposed state to a laying conveyor 13. A necessary number of articles W are shifted to the transport surface of the second roller conveyor 3. Further, in this work, a pusher 7 is lowered in comparison with the transport surface of the second roller conveyor 3 so as not to collide with the article W. Then, the laying conveyor 13 is projected to the truck 18 side, and the article W on the second roller conveyor 3 is placed on the deck of the truck 18. After the second roller conveyor 3 becomes vacant, the pusher 7 is raised and advanced to push out the article W on the deck of the truck 18, and the article W is placed on the deck of the truck 18 free from play.
