To provide a conveyor slat which is chemically resistant, noncorrosive, light in weight, durable, and tough.
A conveyor slat CS is formed by a drawing moulding method. The conveyor slat CS is provided with a stal main body comprising resin matrix, and reinforcement fibers 66 and/or fiber fabric 68. At least part of the fibers 66, 68 are elongated in the longitudinal direction of the slat main body. Others are elongated in width direction of the slat main body. Surface veil is provided at a part where the slat CS gets in contact with bearings 34, 76, or where seals get in contact with it. The conveyor slat CS can be formed of food-grade resin. Grit can be applied to an upper surface of the conveyor slat CS to provide high friction characteristics.
