To provide a conveyor type dryer with which durable service life of the conveyor is extended and the invasion of outer air into a drying chamber in a casing can efficiently be prevented.

The conveyor type dryer 1, in which a sealing mechanism 7 provided with a sealing plate 7b disposed at a position having a prescribed gap at or a position coming into slide-contact with the interval with the bottom part of a conveying body 4a connected as a chain-state is arranged at the inlet side of the conveyor 4 in the casing 5, arranges a second sealing mechanism 8 at the inside of the sealing mechanism 7 in the casing 5. A screw type exhausting device 10 for exhausting the powder in a bulky material dropped down from the conveyor 4 to the outside of the dryer is arranged between these sealing mechanisms 7, 8, and a hot-blast supplying divided duct 9 is communicated with a screw housing 10b in the screw type exhausting device 10 and also, the hot-blast is blown from a hot-blast blowing hole 10c of the screw housing 10b and the pressure in the zone between these sealing mechanisms 7, 8 is held so as to become the same as or higher than the outer air, as the constitution of the dryer.
