To raise the temperature of a mounting face of a cooking utensil to a prescribed temperature in a short time, shorten the cooking time of foods, improve the performance of a grill pan cooking, durability, and safety in a microwave heating apparatus.
In the grill pan 1 as the cooking utensil, a part of a support body 2, in which a heat generating layer 3 is formed, has a heat capacity within a range of 50-250 J/deg, ferrite constituting the heat generating layer 3 contains Fe2O3, CuO and MgO, and the compositions of Fe2O3, CuO, and ZnO included in ferrite are 46-51 mol%, 2-15 mol%, and less than 27 mol% respectively. This constitution can raise the temperature of the mounting face 30 of the grill pan 1 in a short time and saturate the temperature of the mounting face 30 at a temperature less than the heat resistance allowable temperature of the grill pan 1 so as to improve the performance of the grill pan cooking, the durability, and the safety.
