Title:
COOLANT CLEANING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3391725
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove impurities contained in a coolant used by a machine tool and thereby keep the coolant always clean.
SOLUTION: When a coolant used by a machine tool passes through a magnet roller 12 provided on a first cleaning means 1, most of the impurities composed mainly of magnetic materials contained in the coolant are removed by adsorption, and when the coolant flows on a magnet plate 20 provided on a second cleaning means 2, the impurities composed mainly of magnetic materials of comparatively higher specific gravity contained in the coolant are removed by adsorption, and the coolant now free from the impurities drops into the storage tank 4a of a coolant tank 4. Further, the supernatant of the coolant stored in a storage tank 4a flows into an adjacent cleaning tank 4b through an opening part 5a formed in a partition plate 5 and the impurities of comparatively lighter specific gravity suspened in the coolant are captured a magnet rotation plate 22 provided opposite to the opening part 5a.
