To provide a cooled coffin apparatus which suppresses the rotting of a dead body and the generation of stench of death body.
On the bottom plate of a box frame 11 of a coffin 10, a duckboard-like bed 20 for which a top plate is turned to a duckboard is arranged. Cold air generated by a refrigerator 30 is introduced from a flexible tube 32 connected to a side plate 15 on a leg part side into the coffin 10 by a single action coupler 32a. Since the cold air sinks to a floor surface side because the density is higher than air inside the coffin 10 and it passes through the lower part of the duckboard-like bed 20 first, the back surface part of the dead body is preferentially cooled and cooling without irregularities is made possible. Also, the air at a high temperature inside the coffin 10 is discharged from the exhaust port 40a of a head part side plate 16 to the outdoor air so as to be pushed out by the cold air, and the cold air is efficiently circulated. Further, when a deodorizer 40 is housed inside the refrigerator 30, the exhaust port 40a and the deodorizer 40 are connected by a second flexible tube, and exhaust from the deodorizer 40 is used as intake air of the refrigerator 30, efficiency can be improved.
