PURPOSE: To prevent fine particles adhering to an aggregate from flowing out and to efficiently cool an aggregate by a construction wherein adherent fine particles settling on the bottom are forcedly floated in cool water by a stirring member provided in an aggregate cooling tank, and these are discharged by again adhering to the aggregate to be discharged.
CONSTITUTION: A cooler for an aggregate of a ready-mixed concrete is provided with an aggregate cooling tank 3 in which the aggregate of the ready-mixed concrete is dipped in cool water to be cooled; a transport conveyor 25 for transporting the aggregate into the cool water in the aggregate cooling tank 3; and a cooling chiller 4 for cooling the cool water in the aggregate cooling tank 3 to a predetermined temperature by circulating it by a circulating pump 15. A stirring member 2 is provided in the aggregate cooling tank 3 for stirring fine particles accumulated on the bottom thereof. The adherent fine particles settling on the bottom of the aggregate cooling tank 3 are forcibly floated in the cool water by the stirring member 2. These are discharged by again adhering to the aggregate to be discharged.
