Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of a stator coil by dividing a vent passage of a stator coil end via a vent guide into two sections, thereby ventilating twice the coil end in centripedal and centrifugal directions. CONSTITUTION:A vent guide 30 which covers the outer periphery of approx. half of a stator coil end 6 is composed of an enclosing plate 25 and a partition member 20. The member 20 is composed of a spacer ring 21 interposed peripherally between upper and lower port coils 61 and 62, a spacer 22 interposed between the coils 61, a spacer 23 interposed between the coils 62, and a vent ring 24 fixed to the inner peripheral side of the coil 61. In this manner, a radial suction passage 31 directing inwardly is formed between the guide 30 and a bracket cover 12, and a vent passage 32 directing outwardly is formed between the guide 30 and a stator core 2.
