Abstract:
To prevent cooling water from being contaminated without sacrifice of the performance of a cooler for cooling water.
A cooling exchanger 15 comprises a moisture permeation membrane 5 which passes steam but blocks water. The cooling exchanger 15 is disposed in the air passage 24 at a cooling tower section 20 and the cooling water is brought into contact with the air through the moisture permeation membrane 5. Since a part of cooling water is evaporated and discharged into the air through the moisture permeation membrane 5, high cooling performance can be sustained. Furthermore, cooling water can be protected against contamination because it is not mixed with gas or contaminant in the air.
