PURPOSE: To reduce the installation and operating costs and effectively cooling the air passing a screen by trapping most of water particles by interposing the particle-trapping, cooling screen comprising fibrous material between atomizing nozzles and air blowing outlets.
CONSTITUTION: A water particle-trapping, cooling screen comprising a fibrous material in which numerous fibers are alternatingly intersecting each other with a minute space between the fibers is interposed between atomizing nozzles 10 and air blowing outlets 8 inside an atomizing box 4. Since atomization can be performed under a low pressure with no need for water particles to be extremely small, atomizing nozzles using household utility water and a water pump can be used for atomization, and so, the installation and operating costs can be reduced. Further, most of water particles, particularly large size particles, are trapped by the water particle-trapping, cooling screen 11 and prevented from being discharged out of the outlet 8, and, the air passing the screen 11 can effectively be cooled on account of the latent heat of vaporization of trapped water particles.
